      Katherine Kellgren's passionate narrative is a perfect match for author Rice, who is known for her heartfelt novels. Kellgren's sweet voice tells the story of Lily Malone, a pregnant woman who left her Connecticut home and abusive husband to escape to the peace of Nova Scotia--and now must return back home. Kellgren doesn't use much variation of tone to distinguish among characters. However, she provides each with a unique depth of feeling, thereby ensuring a distinction that enhances the listening experience with its subtlety.
