      THE STONE LIGHT is not the place to start in the Dark Reflections Trilogy. This story begins with fast-paced action that is difficult to follow without any background in what comes before, including how the spirit of the Flowing Queen has come to be in the mind of Merle. For those who are already familiar with the series, Simon Vance effectively delivers the threads of the complex plot. He provides a wide range of voices for the many major characters, with useful accents to tie together the various factions.
