The series of emoji-heavy retellings continues with these Greek myths told via slangy texts between mythological characters. It's an amusing concept that unfortunately falls pretty flat. Readers without working knowledge of the stories and characters may feel lost as the clipped nature of the text doesn't allow for much exposition. The intended audience won't need the included "411" on acronyms and emojis.(Copyright 2018 by The Horn Book, Incorporated, Boston. All rights reserved.)
